Prism Medical UK has raised £120 for Genetic Disorders UK, to help fund the on-going care and support for children with genetic disorders across the UK. Prism held a ‘Jeans for Genes‘ day at the company’s Westholme division on 4th October, enabling staff to wear their casual attire in return for a small donation.
Individually, genetic disorders affect 1 in 25 children born in the UK – that’s more than 30,000 babies each year. Their associated health problems mean that genetic disorders are the biggest cause of death of children aged 14 years and under.
Samantha Holden, Divisional Office Manager said “I am proud to announce Prism Medical UK’s significant contribution to the very worthy Genetic Disorders UK charity.“
